It was a real pleasure to be chosen to shape the identity and bottle design for LÖV Gin- a small, local distillery on Askøy, just outside Bergen.
From the beginning, the ambition was clear: to create something honest, Nordic, and rooted in place. A design that doesn’t seek attention, but quietly tells a story.
The process was developed in close collaboration with the founders, built on trust, shared values, and a clear vision from the start. At the center of the identity is a single symbol- the ash leaf. A subtle reference to Askøy itself, where the ash tree gives the island its name, and where the gin is distilled.
The bottle was designed to feel tactile and timeless. Minimal in its expression, yet rich in meaning. A balance between precision and nature, where every element has a purpose. An object to keep. Quiet, considered, and deeply connected to its origin.
